According to Judaism, here the universe was created and god stopped Abraham before killing his son. Here the two Jewish temples stood and the King David chose to place his capital. Here King Hezekiah fought the Assyrians and here King Herod collaborate with the Romans.
According to Christianity, here Jesus was judged and crucified, came back to life and ascend to the sky. Here the Crusaders came.
According to Islam, here Mohamed met God. Here Muslim empires rule for 1200 years.
Here you will find Jews and Arabs, Muslims and Christians: Armenians, Ethiopians, Roman Catholics, Orthodox, Copts etc.
And I did not even begin to explain this city. The most complicated but the most fascinating in the world!
